Reading an Alert
Open any alert to see the full breakdown. Every alert is structured the same way so you can scan it quickly and act with confidence.
The sections of an alert
Main Driver
The single biggest reason this product or order is leaking money — for example "return rate" or "shipping cost." This tells you where to focus.
Why This Is Happening
A plain-language explanation of the leak, generated from your actual numbers. Profixo uses AI only to explain an alert — the underlying figures are always calculated deterministically.
What To Do Next
A concrete recommended action: raise the price, pause a campaign, adjust shipping, or review a returning product. This is the fix, not just the diagnosis.
Cost Breakdown — Per Unit
A line-by-line breakdown of where the money goes on a single unit:
Selling price $40.00
Cost of goods −$22.00
Processing fee −$1.46
Shipping −$6.00
Allocated ad spend −$5.00
Returns (amortized) −$3.20
─────────────────────────────
Net per unit $2.34 → or negative
This makes it obvious which cost is eating the margin.
Confidence badge
Each alert shows a confidence badge (high / medium / low). If it's limited by missing data — most often a missing product cost — the alert will tell you and let you enter the value right there. See Product Costs.
Unlock true profitability
When you see an "Unlock true profitability data" prompt, it means adding one input (usually COGS) will convert an estimate into a confirmed answer.
Acting on the alert
Once you've read the alert, you can act on the recommendation and then snooze, resolve or ignore it. See Managing Alerts.
