Profixo is designed to be safe by default. It reads only what it needs to calculate profit, and it can never change your store.
Read-only access
We can't modify your store
Profixo connects with read-only Shopify scopes only. It has no write access, so it physically cannot edit products, change orders, or touch your storefront.
What data Profixo reads
- Product information — names, prices, variants and cost per item (COGS).
- Order data — order history, revenue, refunds and returns.
- Inventory levels — stock context for alerts.
- Basic store information — currency and store settings.
Profixo does not access customer PII beyond what's needed to process orders, and it does not request Online Store or POS scopes.
How your data is protected
- Encryption in transit — all data moves over TLS.
- Encryption at rest — stored data is encrypted (AES-256).
- No stored Shopify credentials — Profixo uses Shopify's OAuth tokens and never stores your Shopify password.
Exporting your data
You can export your alert and profit data from the app if you want a copy for your own records.
Deleting your data
When you disconnect and uninstall Profixo, your store data is removed in line with Shopify's compliance requirements. Contact support if you need confirmation of deletion.
