How Profixo Works
Profixo turns your raw Shopify data into a short, prioritized list of profit leaks. There are three stages: connect, analyze, and alert.
Connect your store
Install Profixo from Shopify with one-click OAuth. We request read-only access to orders, products and inventory — nothing else. See Connect Your Store.
Profixo analyzes your data
Profixo syncs your products, orders and refunds and calculates the true net profit of every product, factoring in platform fees, shipping, returns and ad spend. This runs automatically every day.
You get prioritized alerts
When Profixo finds a leak, it creates an alert with a dollar impact, a confidence score, an explanation, and a recommended fix. RED alerts are also emailed to you immediately.
The profit calculation
Every alert is grounded in a single deterministic formula, calculated per product:
Net Profit = Revenue
− Cost of Goods (COGS)
− Platform & processing fees
− Shipping costs
− Refund / return costs
− Allocated ad spend
If net profit is negative, the product is a profit leak. Because the math is deterministic, the numbers are consistent and auditable — the AI is only used to explain an alert in plain language, never to calculate it.
Analytics vs. alerts
Shopify analytics shows revenue and traffic. Profixo goes deeper — it calculates product-level profitability and only tells you when something needs your attention.
How often it runs
Profixo runs a full analysis of your store once per day. Guard and Shield plans can also trigger an on-demand re-analysis with the Sync Now button. New alerts appear whenever a leak is detected or an existing issue changes in severity.
What you do next
Each alert includes a recommended action — raise a price, pause a campaign, adjust shipping, or review a returning product. When you fix the underlying issue, the alert automatically closes on the next analysis. Learn more in Managing Alerts.
